Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) is a distinguished state open university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Established in 1997 under the West Bengal Act (XIX) of 1997 to commemorate the birth centenary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, NSOU was founded with a mission to make higher education flexible, affordable, and accessible to learners who cannot attend traditional full-time programs due to personal, financial, or professional commitments.
